Summer Dreams of the Downtown Eastside Poetry and Music Showcase was an hour long presentation of original work by some of the best poets, writers and musicians of the Downtown Eastside, produced by Richard Tylman and recorded at the Carnegie Community Centre Theatre with the generous support of the Vancouver Foundation and the Vancouver Moving Theatre.

The Première Show featured music by Heidi Morgan, poetry of Richard Tylman with music by John Coté, new poetry of Bud Osborn, music of Susi Hollmann, poetry of Ariadne Sawyer and Alejandro Mujica-Olea in English and Spanish, and poetry of Diane Wood. Hosted by Richard Tylman and Ariadne Sawyer of World Poetry Café.
